Kadri is a no class punk, I've thought so ever since the no class throat slash gesture at the WJR tourney a few yrs back.

I agree with the old-school mentality. I was actually happy he was kept in the game, as I was waiting for someone on Minnesota to beat the piss out of him. And hell, even if he had been thrown out, I would have loved to see a Minnesota player just barrel into the TML goalie at full speed and go hard and high. Sometimes, the best way to make it known that you won't accept that isn't to go after the offending player, but go after his teammates so that he won't do it again.

I was suprised not one guy on Minnesota stood up. Thought at least Konopka would do something. There was no Orr or McClaren dressed either.

Edit: sorry Orr was dressed

Thank you for this article, exactly what we've known, Kadri is punk who runs and hides behind Orr and the others. Gutless and I hope someone rings his bell in the near future to teach him a lesson.

And yes, Carlyle is the epitomy of the hypocrisy the Leafs represent.

I'm suprised the League suspended Kadri actually. The Leafs get preferential treatment normally, so i was shocked. Just like i was when the suspended Kessel, Lupul and Clarkson as well

WOW, are you ever way off base on this one. I am ok with the suspension for the hit on backstrom since the goalies should be protected in their own crease, but the hit on granlund was a textbook hit. Not one thing was wrong with that hit, Kadri should be applauded for that hit, not penalized. Here are the reasons why that hit was a good hit.
1. Kadri (although was skating quickly), he was gliding into the hit therefore not a charge, he did not take any additional strides into the hit.
2. Original point of contact was to Granlund's right shoulder, not to the head, therefore not a hit to the head. His head hit the glass as a result of the hit but was not the main point of contact.
3. Kadri did not leave his feet to make the hit, his feet were still in contact with the ice through completion of the hit.
4. Granlund was in possession of the puck therefore Kadri was not in violation there either.

In conclusion, just because the hit was fast and hard, does not make it an illegal hit the referee's got this one wrong, this was as clean of a hit as i have seen in a long time, i hope kadri keeps it up.

P.S. BS non call on the double hit from behind on Phaneuf later in that game right in front of the referee!

Yes they get preferential treatment, thats why they suspended Kessel, Lupul, Clarkson and now Kadri...your logic makes sense! There have been more bad non calls against the leafs this year than i have seen in a long time, maybe they need a 5th referee on the ice to make these calls

I don't think i portrayed enough sarcasm in my post. I am told by other fans the Leafs get preferential treatment. Yet, we have had our top 6 suspended for more games than any other team i believe.

Granlunds shot was a hit to the head. No matter how you justify it. Kadri got away with not being suspended twice.

Kessel, Lupul got off with less than they should have. Clarksons was automatic.

Keep crying...

I know right?

I mean, it happened 2 years ago, so the NHL should screw up again, not protect the goalies. JUst let it go because some years ago, a leafs goalie was injured.

Yeah, you guys never mentioned Chara and Patches afterwards.

Edit: You guys (not you specifically) got the (frank)ing police involved.

Minny failed the punk test. I thought the Granlund hit was an ovrrhype. The guy was bent over, contact to the head was accidental and it wasn't much of a hit. If Granlund doesnt grab his head no one would have batted an eye.

The problem is his head was down for a solid 3 seconds, its not like he curled up into the hit. Kadri full on had time to avoid hitting him, instead he continued (multiple strides through the neutral zone to get to him) through the hit and right through the head.

If the boards aren't behind him this hit would look awful and Grandlund would fall not being able to protect his head and hit his head on the ice even harder.

It's true he does. The whole of the Bruins do. It's common knowledge. Every fan base says it. But, what can you do. Don't try making it a criminal investigation though. There's legitimate crime out there that should take a slight priority.

He certainly recovered quick enough. He played about 3 mins on the ensuing PP.
